Party Over Here
One Night Only
New York Artist Joseph C. Grant, Jr. presents his Artwork on Canvas with a live jazz performance from Innovative Soundz in Coconut Grove.
Thursday, July 7, 2011 artist Joseph C. Grant, Jr. is presenting a collection of artwork at Artway-66 Gallery in Coconut Grove, Florida.
“To witness Joseph’s works in person is to experience something truly unique. The energy of his paintings seem to radiate off the canvas, possessing a life of their own,” says Brooklyn Congressman Ed Towns.
Joseph C. Grant, Jr.’s artwork embodies nostalgia with a figurative style of elongated human forms and vibrant colors. His renderings depict life through the eyes of a black male in America by way of the Caribbean. Inspirational yet reflective, his paintings have been compared to those of the late Ernie Barnes with the nostalgic quality of Norman Rockwell.
New York-based Jazz quartet “Innovative Soundz” will provide the musical atmosphere for the evening.
The cocktail hour is sponsored in part by TOMA Vodka and features Joseph’s signature drink: The “Chocolate Eyez Martini.”
7:30pm – 10:30pm. Cocktail hour and Performance by Jazz Band
